MRS LINDA MILLER, 28 Hillcrest, Middle Herrington, Sunderland, SR3 3NL, telephone 0191 528 3315, writes:

THE lady I am looking for is Elizabeth Elliot, who possibly became a Mrs Mackenzie. She is a cousin of mine, and my mother, who is poorly, would like to hear from her. We last met in Watford in 1975. Her father's name was Jim and they did, at one time, live in Sunderland.

MRS HARWES, nr Braintree, Essex, writes:

IN the course of research into my family history, I am interested in the Pollard family. My grandmother was Mabel Pollard, who lived in Watford.

Her husband's name was Samuel Robert Pollard, who died in 1924 of pneumonia. Mabel had four children: Albert, Raymond, Edna and Evelyn. When her husband died, Raymond, Edna and Evelyn were placed in a home in Yarmouth, and she only kept Albert.

That is as much as I know, apart from the fact she went to nurse at Clare Hall Hospital in South Mymms.

Her parents owned the Crown Inn, Goldington, in Bedfordshire.

Can anyone help with more details?
