PLANS to transform an industrial workshop into four new city centre homes have been put on hold because councillors fear access would be a 'nightmare'.

The proposal to partially demolish a two-storey workshop on Church Street and re-develop it into four one-bedroom terraced homes was met with scepticism from councillors at Monday's plans central committee meeting. They argued such a move would be a 'nightmare' in terms of access for homeowners because it would have to be shared with the busy Jubilee Centre.

Members deferred their decision until the next meeting when more information on access can be provided.
