CONSERVATIVES won two seats previously held by Labour at the recent town and district council by-elections in Bishop's Stortford.
Graham McAndrew won the East Herts central ward seat with a 30-vote advantage over Labour candidate Janet Rose. And Tory Norma Jean Symonds won the town council's central ward seat with 311 votes, 17 votes ahead of nearest rival and Labour Party candidate Jill Irene Sortwell.
