With big bands, majorettes, police dogs, funfairs, and a horticultural show ,, the summer is only beginning.
Organisers are shaping up for the final event of the Pimms and strawberries season as the countdown starts for the Friern Barnet Summer Show held on August 19 and 20.
Entries are being collected for the horticultural, hobbies and craft shows while terriers and toddlers all over the town are being spruced up and beautified for the dog and baby shows.
This year's organiser, Joy Langton, said it has just gone from strength to strength.
'We are very dependant on the weather but I think this year we will be lucky. There is so much involved in putting on a show of this size ,, we put on ten hours of entertainment on the Saturday, six on the Sunday,' she said.
The show starts at noon. Entry is £3 adults, £1.50 children, with family tickets available.
On Sunday there will be some clowning around in the main arena, a display by the MoD police dogs and an auction of all the shows' produce as a grand finale.
