Mill Hill Village 58 Indian Gymkhana 59 -1
Middlesex Championship Division One
Mill Hill Village suffered an extraordinary batting collapse last Saturday to lose to top side Indian Gymkhana by nine wickets.
Batting first on a deplorable wicket, the Village battled to 25-0 off 18 overs but then lost five wickets without adding to the total ,, including consecutive ducks suffered by their Australian trio.
But the Village found batting form in a Sunday League match to topple Northwood Town by 60 runs.
Two good batting displays ensured that Old Hendon were in charge over the weekend.
After rattling up 225-6 (Jeff King 50, Adrian Wilson 41 no), against Pacific, OH used eight bowlers in a bid to keep Saturday's game alive, but it petered out into a tame draw.
On Sunday, Old Hendon declared at 241-9 (Danny Thomas 81, Mike Heavey 69) and bowled Osterley II for 71 (Richard Myers 3-12). Only 14, James Heavey took two wickets in his first over for OH, ending with 3-15.
