GUIDED tours of St Albans using open-top double decker buses are running throughout the summer, taking in many of the delights the city has to offer.
Views of Verulamium takes passengers on a circuit of St Albans, beginning and ending in St Peter's Street, that lasts for 40 minutes with an informative commentary from a guide. Sights visited include the Town Hall, the Clock Tower, the abbey and the Verulamium Museum.
Although tickets are valid for just one circuit, passengers are free to hop on and off the bus in order to investigate some of the attractions further.
The company running the tours, Timebus Travel, hopes to increase the city's attraction as a tourist site, to increase locals' interest in the city's heritage and to generate enough interest to be able to run the tours again next summer.
The tours run every Wednesday until August 30, starting on the hour every hour between 10am and 4pm.
