A PLAY which highlights the danger of speeding is touring local schools this month, in an attempt to get young people to think about the importance of driving safety.
The Buzz, has been taken around Hertfordshire's schools for the last seven years by Hertfordshire Road Safety Unit and is being performed by the Box Clever Theatre Company.
It has been designed to make young people more aware of the consequences of their actions, and to tackle the perils of speeding and dangerous driving.
These dangers are apparent in last year's accident figures which showed that although young people make up just ten per cent of motorists, they were involved in 20 per cent of all road accidents.
The play began its tour yesterday at Roundwood Park, Harpenden, and will visit several other schools in the area, including Townsend School, St Albans, over the next week.
