GOSLING Bowls Club started their Winter indoor season last Thursday with a challenge match between the gents section and the ladies section.
In a closely fought game over six rinks, the ladies edged out the Gents by 99 shots to 94.
The top ladies rink was Jean Waller, Pat Pike, Jillian Jennings and Sue Wingham who won 25-12, whilst the top gents rink was John Brennan, Martin Casserley, Tony Cooke and Neville Parry who won 20-12.
This was followed on Saturday, October 7, with a six rink friendly game at home to Jarman Park IBC, with Gosling running out winners by 133 shots to 86. Top rink was Nora West, Ron Norris, Ruby Fordham and Ernie James who won 29-6.
