STAFF and students at Nicholas Breakspear School in St Albans have celebrated another year of bumper exam results.
Headteacher Jeremy White saluted the efforts of his pupils after the school recorded its second best ever year of GCSE results.
One student, Peter Johnson, came in for individual praise after achieving a staggering 11 A grades, ten of which were A*.
And sixth form students also excelled, with three pupils, Vimala Camadoo, Madge Conlan and Selina Payne securing coveted Oxbridge places.
But in addition to heaping praise on his pupils' academic prowess, Mr White also praised students' efforts outside the classroom during last month's presentation evening.
"It was a real pleasure to welcome Bishop James O'Brien as our guest of honour and to be present to pay tribute to many outstanding individuals. Our exam results this year were, once again excellent.
"But our students do not just excel academically so many other contributions to the life of the school were celebrated at a great evening."
