At this rate, Bombers will be sorry when the season is shortly over, as another fine display of passing football was once more a credit to the beautiful game at the Hawksmoor Centre last Sunday evening.
Following their excellent win over IC Five Bellies in their previous outing, the Bombers have now completed the double over reigning champions Elliotts.
However, they had to weather a storm from the first whistle which saw Elliotts deservedly take the lead through Kevin Cooper, before Adam Bell equalised just before half time.
Cooper was on the mark again after the break, and Bombers soon realised that desperate situations require desperate measures, and introduced senior citizen Dave Rawlings from the bench.
Brother Simon Rawlings levelled from an acute angle soon afterwards, and the family party was joined by cousin Mark Jackson, who pushed the ball into an empty net after Bell's shot had been blocked to put Bombers ahead for the first time.
They seemed home and dry when Rawlings S smashed home his second, but Cooper induced some nervous late Bombers defending as he completed his hat-trick.
Bombers : Edwards, White, Gilson, S Rawlings, Bell. Subs: Jackson, D Rawlings.
