Hertfordshire University students have had their year's placement in New York cancelled, following the terrorist attacks last month. The six tourism management students, who have been in the United States since June, have been told their placements are being wound up because of reduced turnover where they are working. Course director Brandon Crimes said: "These students are experiencing very early on just how volatile the tourism industry can be." The students are hoping to find alternative placements in the US.
