TELEVISION entertainer Michael Barrymore could face more questioning by police concerning the death of a man at his Roydon home, despite the investigation against him being dropped.

Detectives are investigating the death of butchery worker and father-of-two Stuart Lubbock, 31, who was found in the star's pool at his home in Beaumont Park Drive on March 31.

Essex Police spokeswoman Kim Perks said: "We can't rule out that we will need to question Mr Barrymore in future regarding this investigation. He is not facing any more criminal allegations at present but that is not to say that further along in the investigation we will not want to speak to him again."

It is likely Mr Barrymore will also have to give evidence at Mr Lubbock's inquest.

He was arrested in June on suspicion of possession and supply of a class B drug, possession of a class A drug and allowing premises to be used for the taking of a class B drug.

He had been on police bail and was due to be interviewed on October 24.

However last Wednesday, Mr Barrymore requested an interview with police and attended Stansted Airport police station with a lawyer.

He was cautioned for possession of cannabis and allowing the smoking of cannabis on his premises as a result of that interview later that day.

The other two allegations have been dropped following a report by the Crown Prosecution Service.

Two other people a 31-year-old man from Blackpool, and a 26-year-old Harlow man who were arrested on suspicion of murder in June, have both been released from their police bail without charge.
