ANOTHER win ensured that Harpenden Seconds continued their fine start to life in Division Three South West with an impressive 3-2 victory at Letchworth Seconds.
The Blues took the game to their hosts from the start, with Harps' incisive front line and pacey midfield soon beginning to create chances and it was no surprise when the visitors took the lead after Dave Munton fired in following a short corner.
However, a lack of concentration at the back cost Harps dear when Letchworth equalised as both sides entered the break deadlocked.
Harpenden got back into their stride at the beginning of the second half and after Colin Hayward's mazy run earned a short corner, Munton struck home his second of the game.
Letchworth hit back immediately though, as slack defending cost Harpenden again, leaving Neil Smyth in goal exposed.
The visitors did get their deserved winner though when Peter Kneale broke from midfield well before tapping in from close range.
Dan Berry could have added to the lead from the penalty spot, but his flick was saved well but the three goals were enough to see Harpenden home and resume their position at the top of the table.
