BOREHAM WOOD have revealed Tommy Sampson has replaced Jimmy Gilligan as manager.

Sampson, who was a player at Millwall for six seasons, has been in non-league management for 13 years. "I'm delighted to be back in football in a prestigious league with a top club," said Sampson, whose first game in charge will be an away trip to Croydon on Saturday, October 20.

Division One

CLEARLY there were no FA Cup hangovers for Northwood, who continued their imperious league form with a 5-0 drubbing of Barking and East Ham United on Tuesday, October 16.

That momentum should be maintained when they travel to bottom placed Windsor and Eton on Saturday before a crunch game against Ford United on Tuesday, October 23.

Division Two

BERKHAMSTED TOWN'S home match with Molesey on Tuesday (October 16) was abandoned at half time after the visitor's dressing room was raided during the opening period.

It is believed that various items of clothing and other valuables were taken. The matter is subject to a police investigation.

The Lilywhites meet Watford in the Herts Senior Cup on Saturday.

Hemel Hempstead Town's revival is proving to be of the sluggish sort after a 2-0 defeat to Tilbury on Saturday, October 13, followed by a goalless draw at Hungerford Town on Tuesday.

It will not get any easier against AFC Sudbury in the FA Vase on Saturday, October 20.

Division Three

DESPITE a midweek defeat at league leaders Aveley, the signs are promising for Tring Town who climbed out of the relegation zone with a convincing 4-0 victory over Abingdon Town last Saturday.

Manager Howard Cowley's side entertain Southall Town in the first round of the FA Vase on Saturday, October 20.
