GLENN SPORTS' fall from grace plunged to new depths on Saturday, October 13, when they suffered an ignominious 18-1 humiliation at the hands of Kings Sports.
Last year's third place team, who effectively ended Kings' title hopes, were ripped apart by four hat-trick heroes. Jez Clifton led the rout with four, while Justyn Caie, Ben Walker and Paulo Cezar netted trebles.
The other five goals were shared between Phil Wright (2), Andy Colville, Grant Cross and Glenn Dimmock, while Duncan Clark scored Sports' sole reply.
Despite Sports' scoring exploits, it's Hemel Hempstead Rovers who maintained their grip on the Premier Division top spot after four-goal Darren Trustram and Robbie Burton (2) gave them a 6-1 victory over Oxhey.
Oxhey Jets A also had a day to forget, losing heavily 9-3 at Agrevo Sports.
A pair of braces from Phil Dee and Smith, plus single strikes from Gavin Laing and Phil Newton fired Hemel Hempstead Rovers Reserves to a 6-2 Division One victory at Evergreen OB, for whom Danny Hall struck twice.
Joe Stevens' strike was all Rifle Volunteer had to show from their home date with Top of the World, as they lost 4-1 (John Jinks 2, Tim Duffin, Mark Pynaert).
