CHILDREN can enjoy a whole range of fun activities this half-term, thanks to a packed programme organised by the Hornets.
The week kicks-off with a fun lunch at TGI Friday's in Garston on Monday, October 22. The lunch is due to start at 1pm and finish at 4pm and each child can enjoy a buffet with soft drinks available throughout.
Entertainment will include balloon modelling, facepainting and a guest appearance from Watford's Harry the Hornet. Various Watford players will also make an appearance to answer questions and sign autographs. Tickets are priced at £9.95 and are available for children between the ages of five to 16.
The following day sees Watford play Nottingham Forest, and to attract family groups, Watford will be providing children's entertainment in all family areas of the stadium, including facepainters, jugglers and stiltwalkers.
Family match tickets are available from the ticket office on 01923 496010, prices from £32 for a family of four (based on two adults and two children under 12).
Then, on Wednesday, the club's junior golf day takes place at Haste Hill golf course, Northwood. This event is open to children between the ages of five and 16, and tickets are priced at £13.95.
Tickets for all the above events are available from the club on 01923 496006.
Underpinning all the above, the club's hugely successful Football In The Community scheme is running a range of football activity courses throughout the week, all run by qualified coaches.
The courses are available at various venues around Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted and Tring, and are available on a daily (except Fridays) or weekly basis.
