A WATFORD college has received a gift of thanks from an international car company, which commended its excellent motor vehicle training facilities.
The Proton motor manufacturer has donated a Perdana car to West Herts College for recently providing the company with specialist facilities to train a sales force for the launch of its new Impian model.
Proton chose West Herts College as the perfect venue to train its UK Sales Network, based in Bristol. The sales team was trained at the college's Motor Vehicle Workshop at Leggatts Campus in Leggatts Way, Watford.
The Perdana is a 16 valve 1.8 litre multipoint fuel injection engine car fitted with air conditioning, ABS and remote alarm.
West Herts College lecturer Mrs Rebecca Martin said: "The car will be used to give students hands-on experience with up-to-date technology in the Motor Vehicle Workshop at Leggatts Campus."
