POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at a Wheathampstead convenience store in the early hours of Monday, October 15.
Three masked raiders forced their way into Dillons Newsagents in the High Street at 1.30am, threatening two people inside with a gun.
The man and woman, both in their 50's, were left shaken but unharmed by their ordeal, which saw the robbers escape with a "sizeable sum", according to a police spokesman.
The men, all wearing balaclavas, fled in a vehicle that headed off in the direction of Lower Luton Road.
Witnesses can call Detective Sergeant Daniel Smith on 01707 638223.
