IT IS a case of "back to the drawing board" admitted Watford's youth team coach David Hockaday after his under 19 side crashed 3-0 to Fulham.
"It was a very disappointing performance with lots of mis-directed effort," said Hockaday. "We did not play as a team, conceded two soft goals in the first half, and yet, even though we played poorly, missed a number of very good chances."
Watford commenced the second half very well, but gave away "an awful third goal" and lost their momentum.
"We still created enough chances, but our performance did not merit or deserve a victory," he said.
Watford under 19s: Lee; N. Williams, Smith, Buxton; Cohen, Hand, Blizzard, Saunders, McNamee; Norville, Godfrey. Substitutes: Swonnell and Matthews for McNamee and Saunders after 45 minutes; Hopton for Blizzard after 70 minutes.
