PEOPLE could be losing money by not having their homes insulated, Three Rivers District Council has warned this week.
The local authority is doing its bit for National Energy Efficiency Week with a display on the subject at Three Rivers House in Northway, Rickmansworth.
It features details on climate change, grants, and practical ways people can ensure their home is energy efficient.
Councillor Martin Trevett, executive member for physical environment, said: "Making your home more efficient is not always as hard as people think. An energy efficient light bulb, for example, can cost as little as £2.
"The more expensive ones can last for 15 years and use a quarter of the energy of an ordinary one. We should all insist on the use of sustainable energy resources."
