TWO fire engines were called out when a child locked himself in a car in Runcie Close, St Albans, on Friday, October 19.
The boy was trapped inside for more than half an hour while firefighters attempted to free him, after pushing down the car's locks when his mother had got out of the vehicle.
A second engine was called out after the first group of firefighters failed to get into the car.
The child was finally rescued when the owner's spare car keys were fetched from a neighbour's house.
