I have just seen the plans and artist's drawing of the new proposed stadium for Barnet FC. I am very much for the new building.

Not the brick monstrosity according to some sources but a modern building which Barnet can be proud of and which can be used by the whole community.

I have lived near the football ground for over 30 years and it has never been a problem even when we had 5,000 plus supporters ten years ago. The traffic problem will be no worse than it is now. Three hours a day for about thirty days a year.

This is the last chance for Barnet FC to stay in the borough, if it fails they will move. Then what happens to the old ground? Housing will be built on it, or worse a superstore. Then the traffic problem will be all day long, all the year round.
