AN animal rescue centre will be holding a fund-raising autumn bazaar at Watersmeet Theatre in High Street, Rickmansworth, on Saturday, November 10, from 10.30am to 2pm.
Ms Juliet Morton, owner of Rickmansworth Animal Rescue off Uxbridge Road, Rickmansworth, is desperately trying to raise funds to cover treatment for a young cat brought to her in April suffering from skin cancer.
The annual treatment will cost more than £700 but Ms Morton is determined to give the cat all the care she needs.
She said: "Every animal deserves the best chance in life, and even though we receive no funding and are constantly struggling to pay the bills, we refuse to desert an animal in need".
In addition to the ongoing financial difficulties, the centre also needs to build a hospitalisation unit and to house the young animals that need hourly feeding and attention.
Attractions include Christmas gifts, tombolas, home made cakes, plants, toys, and much more. If anyone is able to donate any items, please call Ms Morton on 01923 775151. She needs good quality bric-a-brac, raffle prizes, books and unwanted videos.
