Barnet and District AC achieved a stunning result in the third Chingford League cross-country fixture of the season, winning all four team categories and providing both individual winners.
Keith Turner stormed to his first league victory and the second ever win by a vet. Dave Wilcock was third, equalling his best ever league finish, followed by newcomer Andy Kelleher in sixth. Junior Sean Dixon was tenth while Richard Gamble was one place further back with Des Michael in 14th spot completing the scorers.
Fine runs by Mike Stapleton, Dave Candy, Andy Cunningham, James Taylor, John Shirley and Francis Robinson enabled the B team to take the honours with 228 points, with the four vets closing in for only 24 points.
For the ladies there was an even more decisive win, as Karen Bradley finishing first, Helen Hoye third, Penny Wylie fifth and Karen Murphy sixth.
The outstanding success is evidence of the benefit gained from the training sessions at Copthall Stadium and Trent Park taken by Steve Chilton, Reg Black and Maggie Govender.
