A Shenley resident has been appointed professor of geobusiness at Middlesex University. Ifan Shepherd, of Mulberry Gardens, started his career at the university, in north London, as a geographer, before becoming principal lecturer in marketing at its business school. In June this year, he was presented with the Royal Geography Society's Taylor and Francis Prize for his research into computer-aided learning.
