John Osborne's Look Back in Anger will be performed, by the London Classic Theatre Company, at The Radlett Centre, on Wednesday, October 31, at 8pm. David Benson's uncanny impersonation of Kenneth Williams, in Think no evil with us: my life with Kenneth Williams, "unlocks the complex character of one of Britain's best loved entertainers". The Radlett Players will perform their autumn production, Don't Dress for Dinner, at The Radlett Centre, from Wednesday November 7 to Saturday November 10. A husband is hoping to entertain his attractive, young mistress at his stylish farmhouse, but gets caught out in scanty attire. Tickets £7.50, and £8.50 from the centre.

An 18th-century murder victim buried in Elstree will be the subject of a contest, to mark Halloween, at the village's pub The Plough on Saturday, October 27. Punters will have to search for hidden clues, and the first team to solve the mystery will win a magnum of champagne. Entry to the contest, which starts at 8pm, will cost £1.
A laser and fireworks display, to celebrate Guy Fawkes Night, will be held in Borehamwood's Meadow Park, on Monday November 5. The annual event, organised by Elstree and Borehamwood Town Council, is free, and will start promptly at 7.30pm in the Brook Road park. People are urged to walk because car parking will be limited.
The Shenley Cricket Centre is holding a Curry Night tomorrow, Friday October 26, from 7pm to midnight, with the bar open. Tickets are £8 for members, £9 non-members, and include food. Call 01923 859022.
Embroiderers will gather at Borehamwood Village Hall, in Shenley Road, for the 11th annual Patchwork and Embroidery Exhibition on Saturday, November 3.
