MILKMAN Mick Tutton who was awarded the MBE for raising many thousands of pounds for charity running the Review Half Marathon has raised £2,000 in the 2001 event.
Mr Tutton, who lives in Welwyn Garden City, is giving £1,488 to the official half marathon charities, £300 to Histiocytosis Research and £200 to AYMS.
An urgent appeal is being made to runners to hand in their sponsorship cash as soon as possible so that local charities will not suffer following postponement of the event due to the foot and mouth crisis.
Main Half Marathon charity, Keech Cottage hospice for life limited children from Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, faces a cash crisis and needs the half marathon money urgently.
