HANNAH SMITH has enhanced her reputation as one of the area's most promising young sporting talents with news that she has been selected in the England Cricket Board Women's Squad to attend Regional training at Trent Bridge, Nottingham, early in November.
After a successful cricket season playing for Cambridge and Hertfordshire, the former Loreto RC Girls School pupil was picked for the squad which will train throughout winter in preparation for next summer's play.
However, Hannah, who currently studies Physical Education at De Montfort University in Bedford, is likely to be kept extremely busy this winter as she also turns out for Watford Ladies FC and has recently been selected for the Hertfordshire Women's FA Squad for the 2001-2002 season.
