A WORRIED mother of a boy, who was approached by a stranger who told him he loved him, is anxious to warn other children and parents about the potential danger.
The ten-year-old was walking to his home in Scammell Way past the shops opposite Westfield School in Tolpits Lane at about 6pm when he was approached by a man who spoke to him in a monotone and asked the boy to help him find his lost child.
The boy said no and walked on but the offender called out to the victim that he loved him and tried to direct him towards some bushes.
The man was white, about 5ft 8ins tall, with mousy, straight hair with a fringe. He was wearing a scruffy denim jacket and scruffy blue jeans with a black T shirt. He wore sunglasses, is of small to medium build and in his 20s.
