GENEROUS shoppers at The Harlequin shopping centre helped firefighters from Watford fire station raise more than £11,000 for the disaster fund set up in the wake of the terrorist attack in New York.
The event on Saturday, October 6, involved about 50 fire fighters and 70 members of the public climbing a suspended fireman's ladder.
