MR ALEC CUTLER, of 8 Robert Crescent, Lemon Tree Passage, NSW 2319, Australia, asks: I am curious about where the records of what was known as the Unity Workhouse are being held.
I know it definitely did exist during the late 1800's, as a birth certificate indicates my late father was born there in 1895.
I am also seeking information about Herkomer's Castle, Bushey. I know my grandfather, George Crockett, was employed on the construction, while serving a carpenter's apprenticeship, but have never known much more than that. I wonder if any photographs exist.
