Patricia Ann Wilson shows a lack of understanding in her letter to the Times Group (Would God mind a believer driving to synagogue?', October 25).
The proposers of the eruv do not insist on imposing their beliefs on non-believers. The proposed eruv would not inflict any hardship on the non-Jewish population however it will enable some believers who would, without an eruv, be unable to attend their places of worship to do so in the future.
