With reference to an almost invisible item regarding nursery care which was printed as part of a News Extra item on page 18 of the Barnet & Potters Bar Times, October 18, my wife and I wish to protest most strongly.
The report states that the car park in Osidge Lane will be used as the site for a new nursery unit which will replace the existing one in Hampden Way.
To add to the arrogance of the proposal without any discussion with the public, it appears that the Cabinet have given it their approval. The car park serves a very necessary requirement off-street parking for people shopping in Hampden Square, people using Waterfall Walk and adjacent open space. We think that the council is being very overbearing and lacking in consideration for the local community.
