Not for the first time the early morning swimmers were shut out from the Furzefield Centre in Potters Bar last Sunday morning.
With a stated opening time of 7am the usuals were outside and it was soon obvious the 'early' shift were enjoying an extra lie-in. By 7.15am, several swimmers had already given up and gone home when we were eventually admitted.
It had been agreed that we would refuse to pay as a protest. Unfortunately we were denied the luxury of this protest as the cashier had still not arrived.
