In a hard fought league game away to Northwood, Wood created a couple of early chances but found themselves down 1-0 after ten minutes.
From then on Wood dominated the game and with goals by Pete Clark and Kevin Yule went in 2-1 up at half time.
Wood got off to a flying start in the second half with two goals from Morgan Bryan, the second a superb individual effort.
Wood relaxed after that, allowing Northwood to get two goals back.

The Diamonds did not have such a lucky day for, despite playing well in spells on a boggy pitch, the scoreline went to Hemel Lions.

Wood started strongly with Daniel Boyce linking well with Greg Weinrich to create chances. The break came after 20 minutes, again with work by Boyce and Smithson setting up Weinrich to score.
Harpenden then levelled the match and with a further goal took the lead.
Wood came out in the second half in positive mood, and Nick Villiers leveled the score. Then, after a goal-mouth scramble, a goal from Andrew Dixon gave wood the lead.
