Riverside 2
Green Dragon 0
Presidents Cup Quarter Final
A poor performance resulted in Green Dragon losing to Riverside.
The home side started the better, putting Dragon on the back foot and forcing Dragon's keeper, man of the match Mick McFadzean, to make some great early saves.
Riverside got their first goal when a cross into Dragon's area was met by a striker, who tapped in. Rees Frost tried to lob Riverside's keeper, only to see the ball go to the wrong side of the post.
His striking partner Jamie Frost should have scored, but saw his turn and shot well-saved by Riverside's keeper.
The second half saw Dragon improve slightly, but they could not find a way through Riverside's defence or their off-side trap.
Riverside managed to get a second near the end, when Dragon got caught at the back and a striker smashed the ball past Mick McFadzean.
Manager Mark Peach said: "We got what we deserved nothing. Changes will be made for next week."
