Hawks squash team overcame adversity and strong opposition to record a creditable win of 3-2.
Wins were secured by Paul Buckle, Cliff Madden and Mick Hynes. Cliff Madden displayed a dogged determination and a never say die attitude to come from behind to win his match 3-2.
He attributed his win to a his improved fitness status, gained by gruelling daily pilates sessions.
Mick Hynes, having lost some of his excess weight this year, was too strong and quick for his opponent, and won comfortably 3-0.
Paul Buckle also came back from behind, to win his match 3-2.
The team's fitness trainer, Frank Campbell, said: "This was a fine victory, as HCC have not lost a game this year, and will position us nicely at the top end of the league table.
"If the boys maintain their commitment to their training and diet, they should be able to compete with the best teams from this division."
