County Cup 2nd RoundThe Cannon went into this game without knowing what their opponents would be like.

The Cannon had good chances in the opening ten minutes, but could not hit the back of the net.

Unfortunately, The Cannon's passing game then went to pieces, and Michelians scored two goals within five minutes.

The Cannon went on the attack at the start of the second half, and Rob Pettitt made some great runs down the right. With five minutes gone, Alan Bennett made it 2-1.

Looking for the equaliser and with 25 minutes remaining, Alan Bennett scored his second of the game, and levelled the scores.

But in the last five minutes, Michelians again took the lead, and clinched the game.

Manager Jamie Marlow said: "The first half was the worst we have played so far this season, but in the second half we did a lot better.

"I was pleased for for Alan Bennett who got two goals. He was man of the match, and will bounce back next week."

Next week The Cannon play away to Springfield FC in the Charity Cup second round.
