The Government's Planning Inspectorate has dismissed an appeal against Hertsmere Borough Council's refusal of planning permission for parts of a grass verge in Shenley to be fenced off and used as gardens. The owners of 2 and 3 The Mansion wanted to keep garden fences backing onto Porters Park Drive, but the inspectorate said the fences were outside the gardens' planned boundaries, and ordered their removal.
