THE Watford manager was quizzed by pressmen on Saturday as to whether he had been surprised by the First Division.
Said Vialli: "Obviously I feel I have made mistakes so far. Most of the responsibilities are down to the manager and I am prepared to accept those responsibilities. but we have a plan running through to next season.
"There is no need to panic. If we do not make it this season we will try to make it next season but there is still plenty of time in which to get up there.
"We approach all the games as if they were cup finals, even if we do not perform that way. It is our intention to win all the games, even though we know that is impossible and we know that we have some time, this season and next season, in which to achieve our target.
"I am not a negative sort of manager and I look on the bright side all the time. I know there are parts of our game we have got to improve on. I just want to take it one game at a time and try to get the most out of every single game and see where we are at the end of the season
Obviously you have to be open minded and I realise what works and doesn't work and that is down to your abilities as a manager.
"I haven't come to Watford thinking that what was good at Chelsea has got to be good at Watford. You have different players and you have got to play a lot of games and you have to be prepared to be flexible and change a few things and try to find the best possible solutions."
