A COOKER, door frames and builders' rubble have been dumped in Chiswell Green Lane prompting complaints from nearby neighbour St Albans Gardens of the Rose.
The rubble, which appeared in the past few weeks, has been dumped in a lay-by in the lane, which is commonly used by walkers.
Mr Julian Tatlock, marketing manager at the Gardens of the Rose said this week: "It is an eyesore and to my knowledge it has been there for two weeks. I don't know who is responsible for it. It is antisocial.
"It is lovely countryside round here it has been polluted with a load of rubbish. These people don't care because they don't live here."
A spokesman for St Albans District Council said this week it was aware of the situation and the rubbish would be removed early next week in a coordinated operation, which will see fly tipped rubbish in Griffiths Way also taken away.
Describing the amount of material as "significant" she said: "We need to take a coordinated approach to get value for money because the rubbish has to travel to Hitchin."
