ST JOAN OF ARC SCHOOL, in Rickmansworth, is celebrating after one of its pupils was called up to the England under 16 schoolboy football team.
Fifteen-year-old Andrew Chapman, a Watford youth player, has been training with the squad since Tuesday, October 30, in High Wycombe, and hoped to feature in the Victory Shield match with Wales at Adams Park on Friday, November 2, home to Wycombe Wanderers of the Nationwide Second Division.
Meanwhile, a number of other pupils from the school have also been called up to the County and District football squads.
Joe Atkins, Shean Shults and Matthew Flood, all of year eight, year nine's Ryan Dickinson and Ryan Sweetman and Jamie Gallagher of year ten have all been selected for the district football team.
Darren Lancaster of year nine has also been selected to represent the County while Laura Green has also been selected to represent Herts under 14s girls.
