A REJUVENATED St Albans side travelled to Bracknell on Saturday, October 27, and returned with a creditable goalless draw although Julian Halls' side will be slightly disappointed not to come away with all the points.
From the onset it was obvious that the home-side were brimming with confidence after their 6-1 victory over Exmouth the previous game and Jo Hunt, in the Saints goal, had to make three excellent saves to keep the scores level.
Bracknell pushed players forward in the second half hoping to capitalise on their speed up front but it was Saints who grabbed the initiative as the midfield and forwards began to penetrate the Bracknell defence.
St Albans camped out in the Bracknell half for the last fifteen minutes but could not break the deadlock as both teams were forced to settle for a share of the spoils.
Newly promoted Rover Oxford visit Clarence Park on Saturday, November 3 for the first time with push back at 1.30pm.
