RIDERS progressed into the third round despite turning in a lacklustre performance against last years semi-finalists, AFC Rangers. The home team progressed 5-1.

A fine team performance by Queens Head Logic Reserves saw them comfortably despatch Abbots Langley 3-2 to progress to the next round. Good goals by Chris Yeo (2) and Chris Williamson capped what was Logic's best performance of the season so far.

Church End played their best football of the season to establish a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes against William, before finally going down 5-3.

Nine-man Acorn made a fair stab at their game with Emperors Head and were holding them at 1-1 with 15 minutes to go after to Neil Stevenson had scored their equaliser.

However, Acorn then lost Simon Barker to injury and with eight men, could not prevent their opponents adding two goals in the final quarter hour.

Six Bells did well to hold a strong Mill End side to a 2-0 half time scoreline. But in the second period it went all wrong for Six Bells with Mill End going on the rampage to add a further five goals without reply to complete a convincing 7-0 scoreline.
