A 21-YEAR-OLD man from St Albans received spinal injuries and a broken neck after his car hit a tree in Beech Road, St Albans, on Tuesda, October 30.
The man, who has not been identified, was driving a grey Peugeot 205 when his car, which was travelling in the direction of Valley Road, left the carriageway.
No other cars were involved in the accident.
Two fire engines were called to the scene at 9.15pm and firemen used cutting equipment to remove the man from his car. He was then taken to Hemel Hempstead Hospital, where he is in intensive care. His condition has been described as stable.
