IAN PULIS claimed two special goals to ensure Cash Converters are in the draw for the next round of the Herts Junior Cup after a 3-1 win at Recruit Employment.
The home team opened the scoring early in the game but Pulis ensured his side were level at the break with a spectacular equaliser on the stroke of half time.
A slick interchange between Luke Brennan and Alex Barker created an opening for John O'Briane to put his side ahead and after Barker his the crossbar twice, Pulis made certain of victory with another good finish.
Dynamo Cross are also through after shading Aqualite 2-1, although a dubious refeering decision on 20 minutes went a long way to deciding the outcome.
Dynamo Cross were awarded a penalty when there was a clash of heads from a corner and, to compound matters, he then sent off the Aqualite keeper for protesting. The kick was converted and the home team added a second before the break before ten-man Aqualite came back bravely in the second period. Grant Wheeble pulled one back after 80 minutes and only a diving save at the end denied his an equaliser.
Oxhey Park Rangers ran out of puff against Lilley Rangers, going down 7-0 after conceding five late goals while Roundbush were equally disappointing against Oaks, who ran out 5-0 winners.
