A FORMER community policeman for Bushey has called on more adults to donate their time to help young people.
Mr Ken Moxley, chairman of the Bushey Youth and Community Centre, off Falconer Road, is not optimistic about the future of Bushey if adults do not answer the call.
He said: "Residents are saying there are no facilities for young people to meet on a social basis.
"We have lots of young people in Bushey with nothing to do in the evening and they are roaming the streets and causing problems."
Last month, a public meeting in Radlett heard complaints about the behaviour of youths, who were causing a nuisance in the area.
But Mr Moxley believes people should take responsibility for giving youths something to do.
He added: "If we were to provide the facilities, I am sure they would use them. It is just a case of getting parents and volunteers.
"I do not want people in a few years saying it is out of control. If they were to become youth leaders, it might not happen."
