AN investigation into parking across East Herts is due to start this month.
The study will review current public car park provision and recommend ways to develop it.
It will also compare the district with neighbouring ones, research alternative parking provision particularly that dedicated to shops and commuters, and consider measures to deal with on street parking. The consultants conducting the study will liaise with stakeholders, town and parish councils and local businesses.
Their recommendations will be guided by the council's Car Park Strategy, Hertfordshire's Local Plan and, in Bishop's Stortford, the local Transport Plan.
The research is due to be completed next February when it will be presented to the council.
