A millennium quilt made by pupils at Borehamwood's Woodlands Primary School was the centrepiece of a patchwork and embroidery exhibition at the weekend.
All pupils at the Alban Crescent school were involved in making the quilt, to mark the Millennium, which took 67 hours and 45 minutes over several months.
Around 200 people attended the 11th annual Patchwork and Embroidery Exhibition, at Borehamwood Village Hall on Saturday, organised by the Elswood Embroiderers, Studio Quilters and Tykeswater Quilters.
The exhibition, in aid of the Macmillan Cancer Relief charity, also included demonstrations of sewing and patchwork by the groups' embroiderers and quilters, who are mostly from Borehamwood.
Studio Quilters' member Jean Hipwell said: "We were really pleased with the number of visitors to the exhibition, and I think it was a little bit up on previous years."
The Woodlands' quilt was made up of 17 sections, each depicting a different event in history.
