The London Colney Colts U11s Ambers cantered to a crushing 14-0 win over Edson Corinthians in the second round of the League Cup. Barnaby Mayles led the way with a double hat-trick, with Zack Wallace netting a hat-trick, Sam Youngs scoring twice and single goals for Sean Sawyer, George Woodward and Kieren Smith.
Meanwhile, the Colney U9s powered to an impressive 9-0 victory over Elstree Vale in the first round of the Challenge Cup.
They started slowly and had to wait until midway through the first half to take the lead through a fine Joe Cahill shot, with Joe Easter adding a second just before half time.
In the second half Colney really raised their game, as Daniel Westmore scored three, Joe Easter completed his hat-trick, Joe Cahill grabbed his second and Kevin Cahill completed the scoring.
But a brave and battling performance from the U8s could not prevent them going down 5-0 in a league game against a well-organised Evergreen outfit.
